About

My research specialization is epistemology (traditional and formal) and my areas of competence are logic, ethics (applied and metaethics), and metaphysics. I received my Ph.D. in philosophy from Brown University in May 2021, under the direction of David Christensen and Joshua Schechter. I wrote my dissertation on the connection between epistemic justification and truth. I also completed my B.A. in Philosophy at Pepperdine University, where I also double-minored in Mathematics and Hispanic Studies.
Research
My paper, "Closing the Case on Self-Fulfilling Beliefs" has been published in the Australasian Journal of Philosophy. "On the Epistemic Rationality and Significance of Self-Fulfilling Beliefs" and "Epistemic Utility Theory's Difficult Future" have been published in Synthese. I also have a publication co-authored with Tomás Bogardus, “Yes, Safety is in Danger,” and a book review co-authored with Gerard Rothfus, “Review of Richard Pettigrew’s Accuracy and the Laws of Credence". I also have two works in progress: “Betting Against Permissivism", and "Reopening the Case on Self-Frustrating Beliefs".

I have had research accepted to Modal Metaphysics: Issues on the (Im)Possible VIII in Bratislava (Slovakia), Notre Dame/Northwestern Graduate Epistemology Conference, Syracuse Graduate Conference, University of Iowa Graduate Philosophical Society Conference, and more.
